Terms & Conditions

Using Kent County Released Inmates means accepting these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or its partner tools. These conditions govern only this private reference site. Government portals and outside services have their own terms.

This privately owned resource is not affiliated with Kent County, a sheriff, jail, court, or corrections department. Neither the site nor its advertising partners is a consumer reporting agency or offers FCRA-covered services for credit, employment, insurance, or tenant screening. It is not a private investigation firm.

Nature of This Resource

The site organizes links and explanations for Kent County jail and release records, Michigan corrections information, supervision sources, and federal tools. It holds no official government records. It cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, file a request, or act for a visitor before an agency. Some search functions are supplied by third parties.

Acceptable Use Rules

Visitors must use the site lawfully and in a way that does not harm people, systems, or other users.

  • Do not violate a law or court order.
  • Do not stalk, threaten, harass, or impersonate another person.
  • Do not make credit, employment, housing, insurance, or other regulated eligibility decisions from site content.
  • Do not seek unauthorized access or defeat access controls.
  • Do not run bots, scrapers, or automated extraction tools.
  • Do not interfere with the site’s availability or another visitor’s use.

No Consumer Reports

Kent County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not provide credit reports, consumer reports, background checks, or screening services, and its partners are not offered here for those uses. Visitors agree not to use site information for hiring or firing, tenant or housing screening, creditworthiness, insurance pricing, licensing, government-program eligibility, or any other purpose regulated by the FCRA.

Links and Partner Services

Links may lead to sheriff, corrections, court, release-record, legal-resource, federal-locator, or outside search sites. A link is not an endorsement. This site does not control an outside service’s content, data handling, pricing, terms, or availability. Review the destination’s terms before using it.

No Warranties

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that information is complete, current, accurate, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or suited to a particular need. Partner results may be incomplete. Custody and public records can change quickly, and nothing here is an official statement from KCSO, MDOC, a court, or another government office.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent Michigan law permits, the site, its owners, and content partners are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or other damages arising from access, inability to access, reliance on content, or use of an outside service.

Your Duty to Indemnify

A visitor agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold the site, its owners, and partners harmless from claims, losses, costs, and reasonable legal fees caused by that visitor’s use, misuse, or violation of these terms.

Ownership of Site Materials

Unless a source is credited otherwise, the site’s original text, graphics, logo, layout, and code belong to Kent County Released Inmates or its content partners. They may not be copied, modified, republished, or distributed without written permission or a legal right that independently allows the use.

Changes and Access

These terms may change at any time, and revised terms take effect when posted. Access may be limited, suspended, or revoked at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.

Michigan Law Controls

Michigan law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in Michigan.

If One Term Fails

If a provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be narrowed only as needed. The remaining terms continue in force.
